Sir Guy. What a punchable face.

So last night we got a double feature of The Red Wind and Jack The Ripper (oo spooky)

Again, the plots were super silly with these. Lots of fun vintage lines, like $700 being enough to buy a new car “even in these times” and plenty of military propaganda. I really noticed the background music in these two. In RW, it was mostly orchestral and without quite as many DUN DUN DUNs as JTR, which used a lot of big band and brass sounds. The intro actor in JTR was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT and oozed spooky

  1. I read another post about the radio show from Thursday’s night. I think you are doing the assignment right. A good comment though I think you need to edit the post to imbed your tweets from the nights.

Good job and keep up the good work!

  2. I tuned in for this double feature, as well. I agree with you about the plots, but I have to say that I enjoyed Jack the Ripper a lot more. It could have to do with the fact that the narrator’s voice completely creeped me out and made me intrigued at the same time. The background music for these selections was very distinct and fitting for each of the plots I thought! I love the clip that you added into this post. It reminded me exactly of the narrator’s voice! haha
